San Diego, CA Direct-Hire $28.00 - $45.00/hr Hybrid

Job Description

  • Organize case files, assemble exhibits, and maintain accurate document sets across multiple cases.
  • Handle state and federal e-filings, ensuring submissions comply with procedural requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain a manual Outlook-based calendar, track key litigation dates, and coordinate day-to-day scheduling needs for the team.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of plaintiff-side litigation legal secretary experience in a law firm
  • Strong manual calendaring skills in Outlook aligned with court rules
  • Experience with state and federal court filings (electronic and physical as applicable)
  • Working knowledge of California and federal procedural rules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook (Windows environment)
  • Familiarity with legal DMS platforms (e.g., NetDocuments or similar)
  • Ability to support multiple attorneys and manage competing deadlines
  • Paralegal certificate not required; openness to select paralegal-level tasks is welcome
